The Data Inspectorate DI-2019-13112 3 (15) Report on the supervisory matter The obligation for the personal data controller - ie. private and public actors - to report certain personal data incidents to the Data Inspectorate was introduced on 25 May 2018 by the Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 1 A corresponding notification obligation was introduced on 1 August 2018 in the Criminal Data Act (BDL) for so-called competent authorities.
