The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (Autoritatea Naţională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal) is the national Data Protection Authority for Romania. It resides in Bucharest and is in charge of enforcing GDPR in Romania.

Structure

The Romanian DPA is a public authority with legal personality, autonomous and independent from any other public administration authority, as well as from any natural or legal person in the private domain.

Currently, the President of ANSPDCP is Ancuța Gianina Opre, appointed on the 26th of November 2018 for a second mandate. The vice president of the Romanian DPA is Mirela Nistoroiu.
